About Me
I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology with a deep commitment to teaching, research, and academic development in the field of Social Sciences. My academic journey began with a BA in Sociology from the University of Calicut, followed by an MA in Sociology from the University of Hyderabad. I am a UGC-NET qualified scholar and currently serve at the Institute of Tribal Studies and Research, University of Calicut. My research interests lie in tribal studies, social exclusion, identity politics, and ethnographic methods. Over the years, I have guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, presented papers at national seminars, chaired academic sessions, and contributed scholarly articles to reputed journals. I am particularly passionate about understanding and amplifying the lived experiences of marginalized communities in Kerala, especially tribal populations. I bring a holistic approach to academia—balancing administrative responsibilities, student mentoring and etc.
