About Me
I am a Microbiologist and medical educator with a strong academic background in clinical microbiology, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention and control, and antimicrobial stewardship. My teaching approach focuses on integrating fundamental microbiological concepts with clinical application, enabling undergraduate and postgraduate students to understand the relevance of laboratory diagnosis, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, resistance mechanisms, and infection-control practices in patient care. I have a keen interest in case-based and competency-based medical education, incorporating clinical scenarios, laboratory findings, diagnostic reasoning, and practical demonstrations to promote active learning. Alongside teaching, my involvement in AMR surveillance, antimicrobial stewardship, healthcare quality, infection prevention, and research activities.
