Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Online Chinese Teacher to provide 1-on-1 language instruction to students of all ages and proficiency levels. As an Online Chinese Teacher, you will play a key role in helping learners develop their Chinese language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Responsibilities:

1. 1-on-1 Language Lessons: Conduct personalized and interactive online Chinese language lessons with individual students.

2. Language Proficiency: Demonstrate native or near-native fluency in Chinese, including a strong command of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and idiomatic expressions.

3. Reading and Writing Practice: Provide engaging exercises and assignments to enhance students' reading and writing abilities in Chinese characters.

4. Conversational Practice: Facilitate conversational sessions to improve students' speaking and listening skills, encouraging real-life language usage.

5. Grammar and Vocabulary Instruction: Explain Chinese grammar rules, introduce new vocabulary, and help students apply language rules in context.

6. Progress Assessment: Regularly evaluate students' language proficiency, track their progress, and provide feedback for improvement.

7. Customized Lessons: Tailor lessons to meet the individual learning needs, goals, and interests of each student.

8. Cultural Insights: Introduce students to Chinese culture, traditions, and customs, promoting cultural understanding alongside language learning.

9. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, addressing inquiries, providing feedback, and encouraging continuous learning.

Qualifications:

1. Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or other dialects) with excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills.

2. Teaching Experience: Previous experience as a Chinese language tutor, teacher, or language instructor is preferred.

3. Education: A bachelor's degree in Chinese, linguistics, language education, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English to effectively teach and interact with students.

5. Patience and Empathy: Show patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude while guiding students through the language learning process.

6. Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using online tutoring platforms and digital tools for virtual teaching.
