Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Football Coach to lead, develop, and mentor student-athletes in Bisbee, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be passionate about football, player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic success. The Football Coach will be responsible for planning practices, developing game strategies, evaluating player performance, and fostering a positive and competitive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct football practices and training sessions.

• Develop offensive, defensive, and special teams strategies.

• Teach fundamental football skills, techniques, and game rules.

• Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among athletes.

• Prepare players physically and mentally for games and competitions.

• Coordinate game schedules, team meetings, and travel arrangements when required.

• Ensure compliance with school, district, state, and athletic association regulations.

• Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and encourage educational achievement.

• Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance, and eligibility.

• Collaborate with athletic directors, school administrators, parents, and community stakeholders.

• Implement safety protocols and injury prevention measures.

• Assist with recruitment, equipment management, and fundraising activities as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Previous coaching or competitive football experience.

• Strong knowledge of football rules, techniques, and player development.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for games.

• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, Education, or related field.

• Prior coaching experience at youth, high school, collegiate, or club levels.

• Arizona Department of Education coaching certification (if applicable).

• Experience with strength and conditioning programs.
