Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Mathematics Tutor to support students across various age groups and academic levels. The tutor will help learners build strong mathematical foundations, improve problem-solving skills, and achieve academic success through engaging and personalised instruction.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Mathematics tutoring sessions aligned with the UK curriculum (GCSE, A-Level, KS2/KS3, or equivalent)

Explain mathematical concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles

Assist students with homework, exam preparation, and coursework

Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents

Identify learning gaps and create customised lesson plans

Prepare students for assessments, mock exams, and competitive exams (if applicable)

Maintain a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment
Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Education, or a related field

Proven experience tutoring Maths at primary, secondary, or sixth-form level
-
Strong understanding of the UK education system and exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR – preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to simplify complex concepts and engage students effectively

DBS check (required for in-person roles or willingness to obtain one)
Preferred Skills
-
Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS) is an advantage but not mandatory

Experience with online tutoring platforms and digital teaching tools

Familiarity with exam preparation strategies for GCSE and A-Levels

Patience, adaptability, and a student-centric approach
