Job Description
Job Summary:
The Student Coordinator plays a key role in managing student-related activities, supporting academic programs, and fostering engagement within the student community. This position involves coordinating events, providing administrative support, and serving as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration to enhance the overall student experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Support & Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact for student inquiries and concerns.
- Assist students with onboarding, registration, and orientation programs.
- Facilitate student engagement initiatives, including clubs, mentorship programs, and extracurricular activities.
- Provide guidance and support to student organizations and leadership groups.
Event & Program Coordination:
- Plan and organize student events, workshops, and training sessions.
- Coordinate logistics for academic and social programs.
- Work with faculty and administrative teams to enhance student participation in campus activities.
- Promote events through various communication channels, including social media and newsletters.
Administrative & Communication Support:
- Maintain student records and databases.
- Prepare reports, meeting agendas, and documentation related to student affairs.
- Manage student feedback and surveys to improve programs and services.
- Assist with communication between students, faculty, and administration.
Academic & Career Support:
- Collaborate with academic advisors to guide students on coursework and academic progress.
- Support career development initiatives such as internships, job fairs, and networking opportunities.
- Provide information on scholarships, grants, and financial aid programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Student Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in student services, event planning, or academic administration is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and student management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an educational institution or student-focused role.
- Familiarity with student engagement platforms and learning management systems.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Work Environment:
- Office and campus setting with occasional evening or weekend events.
- Interaction with students, faculty, and staff regularly.
