Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mathematics Teacher & Coordinator (Primary Level) to join our senior secondary school in Vijayawada. The ideal candidate will not only deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to primary classes but will also coordinate curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, and academic excellence across the primary mathematics department.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Responsibilities:

• Teach Mathematics to primary classes (Grades I–V) as per the prescribed curriculum.

• Develop engaging, activity-based, and age-appropriate lesson plans.

• Use innovative teaching methods, manipulatives, and digital tools to enhance conceptual understanding.

• Conduct regular assessments, worksheets, and remedial sessions.

• Track student progress and maintain accurate academic records.

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and development.

Coordination & Academic Leadership:

• Coordinate the Mathematics curriculum for the primary section in alignment with school and board guidelines.

• Prepare yearly academic plans, term-wise planners, and assessment schedules.

• Guide, mentor, and support primary mathematics teachers.

• Ensure uniform teaching standards and assessment practices across classes.

• Organize math-related activities such as Math Day, quizzes, Olympiads, and competitions.

• Monitor classroom practices and provide constructive feedback to teachers.

• Support school leadership in curriculum reviews and academic audits.

Student Development & Classroom Management:

• Foster logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and numeracy confidence among students.

• Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

• Identify learning gaps and implement intervention strategies for slow learners.

• Encourage a growth mindset and positive attitude towards mathematics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with B.Ed. (Mandatory).

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Education is an added advantage.

• Minimum 5–8 years of teaching experience, including experience at the primary level.

• Prior experience as a Subject Coordinator / Academic Coordinator preferred.

• Strong knowledge of primary-level pedagogy and child-centered learning approaches.

• Familiarity with CBSE / ICSE / State Board curriculum frameworks.
