Job Description
Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – English
Location: Delhi
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English to teach senior secondary classes (Class 11–12) under the CBSE curriculum. The candidate should be passionate about literature and language, capable of fostering critical thinking, and committed to academic excellence and holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Core / English Elective to Classes 11 and 12 as per CBSE guidelines.
- Develop and deliver structured lesson plans in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach prescribed textbooks including Flamingo, Vistas, and other CBSE-recommended materials.
- Enhance students’ skills in reading, writing, grammar, and critical analysis.
- Prepare students for board examinations through regular assessments and revisions.
- Evaluate answer sheets, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive classroom environment.
- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, workshops, and parent-teacher interactions.
- Maintain academic records and track student performance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in English (M.A. English or equivalent).
- B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools (preferably teaching senior classes).
Skills Required:
- Strong command over English language and literature.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with CBSE guidelines, examination patterns, and evaluation methods.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience teaching Class 12 board batches.
- Participation in curriculum development or academic coordination roles.
- Exposure to digital teaching tools and smart classroom technologies.
