In the globalised world, students from different countries in search of better educational opportunities have got access to the educational system of USA which is considered one of the best in the world. The number of International students in the US Universities is increasing by every passing year.
While studying the reports related to examinations conducted for assessing students, it is found that more number of cheating incidences has been reported in International students than in US students. As per the report given by Wall Street Journal, average of 5 cheating incidences has been reported over a total of 100 students whereas on the other hand, only one such incidences has been reported among the US students over a total of 100 students. The main reason which underlines the higher number of cheating incidences among International students appears to be the language barrier as they come from far flung areas with cultural distinction. Since the International students are ready to pay huge fee for studying abroad, the US Universities are also welcoming them.
As a cure for this deformity, Universities should arrange for remedies for removing the language barrier in order to maintain their status as an established educational institution and measures should be taken by the concerned authorities to curb the number of cheating incidences among International students in U.S. in order to maintain a world class educational setup. This is important because those who get educated here in U.S. will go to their native countries and must possess themselves with true knowledge of their disciplines for the world to grow for the betterment of society.
