- Conduct Company Research– Before appearing for the interview do a thorough study about the company, their vision, mission goals and objectives so that you do not get nervous at any point during the interview.
- Timing matters – Try to b punctual, you may not have control over many things but make an effort to take things to your advantage.
- First impression matters – It matters more than you think, and once an impression is made either good or bad it’s hard to resist.
- Practice makes it perfect – Nothing can eliminate stress and provide more confidence than a proper preparation for an interview. Practice questions by you.
- Strong Handshake – Have a strong handshake, it matters a lot than you may think and is directly related with receiving an offer letter.
- Know the right questions to ask – Do not hesitate when interviewer asks you “Do you have any questions”, and don’t even say no, this is the best time to gather information about the company. You can ask about the culture of company, or hierarchy etc.
- Exercise – Exercise can really help you burn off the nervous energy so that you do not enter the interview room either over excited or anxious. The extra endorphins released boost your mood and provide a positive state of mind.
- Meditate – Closing your eyes for few minutes and taking deep breaths and visually imagining yourself crushing the interview will help you. It will give you a positive state of mind to perform better.
- Admit your flaws – Learn to accept your flaws; pretending to hide your nervousness will do no good for you rather make things worse for you. Try to stay calm.
- Dress to Impress – Our dressing is directly related to our mood. Dress well to have a cheerful mood and you will nail that interview.
- Stop obsessing over what will happen next – Don’t plan things in your head. Assumptions always kill and are a major drawback, let things proceed as they are bound to and everything will go good.
